” We have employed Concord ICB Contractors Ltd on several schemes as a Subcontractor to our Company. A small example of the schemes include the following:
- Construction of new warehouse extension for Anglia Forwarding. Included works, individual piled foundations, new slab, steel frame and cladding, plus all external works, car parks, delivery yards etc. (approximate value £1,800,000).
- Renewal of fencing and automated gates to Dorothy Barley Junior School, Barking (approximate value £60,000).
- Refurbishment of offices at the Town Hall for London Borough of Barking & Dagenham. Works comprised demolition of walls, new partitions, ceilings and plastering of walls (approximate value £95,000).
On the schemes where Concord ICB have worked for our Company they have always completed the work on time or within any granted extension of times and within the budget. The Company is always helpful and their health & safety record and organisation of sites, bearing in mind that we use them in schools and public buildings, is always of a high standard. “We employed Concord ICB Contractors for a project involving renovation & refurbishment of a ground floor rear extension & the construction of a new first floor extension above this, knocking through an existing small bedroom & incorporating a dressing room/storage area. Steve & Ray were involved from the outset providing a service to draw up plans & then see them through the planning application.
When the construction began we were kept informed & consulted at all points, & had opportunities to adjust & develop, to reach the best result for the project. Everyone working on site was polite, friendly &, above all, helpful, aiming to cause us as little disruption as possible, to make sure we were getting the result we wanted & to bring the project to completion as speedily as feasible. All the work was of a good quality & we are very pleased with the result, not only in the space gained & the internal finish, but also in the external look of the build which has greatly enhanced the appearance of the rear of our house.
Subsequently a second project involved the replacement of two bay windows to the front of the property. Steve oversaw the hiring of the right people and then his own team made good the finish to the front of the property regarding pebble dashing, painting etc.
We would recommend them to friends and family, and would certainly use again for future works.”

” Ray and Steve with their team completed a first floor extension on the back of our house.
“We contacted Ray on a Friday, met with him on site on the Saturday, the builders came in 10 days later and had the work completed within a week. Concord created one large room from two small rooms, removing the dividing wall and inserting the required steel joist into the ceiling void to create a flush finish. The plasterers planned to skim the existing ceilings but when it was discovered they were Artexed on top of ceiling paper, we agreed they should re-board the entire ceiling and then plaster. The final result is excellent, with no sign where the original second doorway had been, nor of the inserted RSJ. What was most impressive was bringing in other trades (electrician and plumber) as and when required. We are very impressed with Concord’s quality and speed of work and will use them again for our kitchen refit.”

“On meeting Ray it was immediately apparent that he had a good knowledge and understanding of the building industry even after just a few minutes discussing the planned work.
I chose Ray to take on the work which was undertaken with a very professional approach by his team of builders . I was indeed so impressed with the way that the work was carried out, the punctuality of his team, how accessible Ray was during the process, that I asked him to then carry out a near complete rebuild of my house.
The whole inside of the house was remodelled and finished to what I believe to be a very high standard. The whole project took somewhere in the region of 6 months to complete which I think was a very reasonable time frame for the huge amount of work carried out.
It is to Ray’s credit that the work was completed around about 5 years ago and even now the work looks as though it has only just been finished. Not once has there been any problems in that 5 year period with any of the construction work that Ray’s team carried out. Whenever he felt the need for any structural surveys to be done he would raise the issue to me and it would be done in complete accordance with regulations and the building code.
I found his team a very friendly, hard working and professional group with whom I could communicate with easily if Ray was away on another site and an answer was needed quickly.
Whenever I was told a time and date by Ray that they would be there it happened, a full day was put in by the team and they were very trustworthy.
Not only was the inside of the house rebuilt virtually but the outside was remodelled completely to upgrade the visual appearance and that work too was carried out exactly as asked for and I am still very happy with the work to this day.
Since then, I have asked Concord to do various other jobs to the house to make it a completely finished product and to fine tune things over the last year or so and I have found that even if the job be a small one in comparison with the huge rebuild it was all carried out in the exact same professional manner.
I would not hesitate to recommend Concord, and indeed have on many occasions to friends, because of the way my project was handled by them.“
